Best Paper Award

Dear Authors,

We are delighted to announce the Applied Functional Materials (AFM) 2025 Best Paper Award, which aims to recognize outstanding articles and reviews published in the journal during the year 2025. The winning paper will be selected through a rigorous evaluation process conducted by the AFM Award Committee, chaired by the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Cheng-Fu Yang, and Prof. Dr. Zdeněk Remeš.

Eligibility Criteria:
– All research articles and review papers published in AFM in 2025 are eligible;
– The award is open to authors at all career stages.

Selection Criteria:
Papers will be evaluated based on the following aspects:
– Scientific merit and overall impact;
– Originality of research objectives and/or ideas presented;
– Innovation in study design or uniqueness of approach;
– Clarity and quality of presentation;
– Citation count and download metrics.

Award Details:
– A cash prize of USD 500;
– A complimentary publication slot in AFM for 2026 or 2027 (subject to peer review);
– An official electronic certificate.

The award winner will be announced on the journal’s website in June 2026.
